Tampa Bay, FL –September 16, 2013 – As current President of Meeting Professionals International Tampa Bay, Margaret Williams truly believes that education makes a difference in one’s professional life, and it has always been a focus in her own life. Williams has staked out three top priorities for her term:

1. Quality continuing education for the membership.

2. Increase the student role in the chapter.

3. Strong advocacy for the meeting professional’s role in their stakeholder’s business success.

Margaret is also co-founder of Pizzazz Meeting and Event Planning Group, Inc. Her journey has been an interesting one. She began her varied career teaching in the New York State public schools, was recruited to run a specialized peer education program for Columbia University School of Public Health, worked with several non-profits designing fundraising events, worked in the corporate arena and ultimately co-partnering in her own meeting and event company.

Margaret enjoyed being with CBS Records and its Epic Records subsidiary, and then moved on to Polygram Records, where meetings were an essential part of growing the company that would become the second largest record distribution company in the United States. Williams’ knack for organizing events led her to become the principal planner for the Corporation, and while she was searching for better tools to help her in this endeavor, Margaret discovered MPI. Meeting Professionals International (MPI) became a key affiliation for Williams when she moved to Tampa in 2006, to run the Tampa branch of Pizzazz. Williams simply transferred her MPI membership from New York to Tampa Bay, and started in as a very active member of the chapter.

Margaret did a tremendous amount of volunteering, and also served on just about every committee assignment in the chapter….communication, education, strategic alliances, and ultimately on the Chapter Board of Directors….and now as Chapter President.

Education is Williams’ passion! With her full plate of responsibilities, she still finds time to serve on the Meeting and Events Certificate Program Faculty at the University of South Florida for the last seven years.

Another key factor in Williams’ outstanding career is her connection to LinktoEXPERT.com. Founded in 2007, LinktoEXPERT’s mission is to join Experts who can collaborate with others to create joint ventures in order to elevate their global status. “We are just so proud of Margaret and all of her accomplishments! I know that she will be very successful in her new role as Meeting Professionals International Tampa Bay Area Chapter President”, said Joanne Weiland, founder of LinktoEXPERT. As for Williams and her relationship with both LinktoEXPERT and MPI, “…We need to give meeting professionals the tools to demonstrate the value of what they do. That’s a hugely important undertaking for us…”

Joanne Weiland, founder of LinktoEXPERT is delighted to be collaborating with Margaret and feels that by joining forces, they will be able to provide the strategies and processes that will get you the results you desire for your company or organization. “This is the secret to success: implementing your ideas with ease. Imagine the possibilities!”
